Terms of Use
MetaVO is a virtual organization for staff and students of academic and research institutions in the Czech Republic. Users registered in MetaVO can freely access:
- Computing and storage capacities
- A wide range of software applications
- Access to numerous other services under a single account
Before submitting an application, please review the detailed terms of use.
Conditions for free membership:
- Agreement with MetaCentrum rules
- Including an acknowledgement in publications (technical reports, scientific papers)
- Submission of an annual activity report
Submitting an Application
Fill in your personal details and choose a username (login) and password in the form.

Proof of affiliation with an academic institution in the Czech Republic is required.
Identity verification is provided via the Czech academic identity federation eduID.cz:
- Members of eduID.cz (universities and institutes): Identity is verified online. Check if your institution is listed as an Identity Provider.
- Other institutions (non-members of eduID.cz): You may obtain a sponsored account and register using a social identity. In this case, please contact us at
meta(at)cesnet.cz.
Password and Security
MetaVO is part of the Czech research and development e-infrastructure e-INFRA CZ. The chosen username and password serve as a single central credential providing unified access to all its services.
- Choose a strong, non-trivial password; never write it down or share it with third parties.
- If you forget your password, you can reset it here.
