MetaCloud - revising security settings and uprade to OpenNebula 5

Dear MetaCloud Users!

Alongside our preparation to upgrade to OpenNebula version 5 (the week between January 9 and 13) we will also be revising security settings in MetaCloud. The default access setting will change from fully permissive to very strict. By default, only SSH ports (TCP port 22) will be accessible in all virtual machines. Any other ports will need to be explicitly enabled by selecting one or more of the predefined Security Groups.

*Owners must modify* existing templates with network access rules defined through the use of WHITE_PORTS attributes to use adequate security groups. Running instances made from such templates will not be directly affected but they will have to be redeployed as a next step to apply the new settings after the upgrade.

Should you find the range of available security groups insufficient, please contact us and we will formulate a suitable solution together.
