Rozšíření výpočetní a úložné kapacity centra CERIT-SC

Extension of computing and storage capacity of the CERIT-SC

I'm glad to announce you the CERIT-SC Centre computing and storage capacity was extended with
* 48 nodes of HD cluster zegox[1-48].cerit-sc.cz -- 2x6 CPU cores, 90 GB RAM, and 2x600 GB HDD per each node
* new storage capacity /storage/brno3-cerit/home/ (250 TB) --archivation via snapshots (14 days data archivation)
Cluster and disk array location: Brno, ICS MU server room.
User accounts of all MetaCentrum users were created automatically, there is no need to request them explicitly.

The most of the cluster (40 nodes curently) can be accessed via the conventional job submission through Torque batch system (wagap.cerit-sc.cz server). During the testing period the cluster will be available for shorter (up to 1 week) jobs only. Specific steps required to run a job can be found at http://www.cerit-sc.cz/en/docs/.

The other nodes are included in the MetaCloud (http://meta.cesnet.cz/wiki/Kategorie:Clouds) for submission of user-provided images of any operating system, etc. The assignment of nodes to Torque and MetaCloud will change eventually according to evolving needs.

Please note, the oldest disk array /storage/brno1/ is completely full. Consider moving bigger amounts of your data to the other disk arrays available (all arrays are available from all MetaCentrum frontends and worker nodes):
* /storage/brno3-cerit/home/LOGIN (new CERIT-SC's disk array, 260 TB)
* /storage/brno2/home/LOGIN (110 TB)
* /storage/brno1/home/LOGIN (85 TB)
* /storage/plzen/home/LOGIN (44 TB).
