New HW resources available

New GPU cluster + machine with large RAM were installed and made available in MetaCentrum.

• new GPU cluster gram[1-10].zcu.cz (160 CPUs), configuration of each node:
  • CPU: 2x 8-core Intel Xeon E5-2670 2,6GHz
  • GPU: 4x nVidia Tesla M2090 6GB
  • RAM: 64GB
  • disk: 2x 600GB,4x SSD 240GB

Requesting GPU

• 2 GPU queues available
  • "gpu" (upto 24 hours) and "gpu_long" (gpu_long will be accessible after some testing period)
  • both with open access for all MetaCentrum members, user accounts of all Metacentrum users were created automatically, there is no need to request them explicitly
• GPU jobs on the Konos cluster can be also run via the priority queue "iti" (dedicated queue for users from ITI, Univ. of West Bohemia)
• low priority queues "short", "normal" and "backfill" available only for non-GPU jobs
