New applications

Newly available programs

Accordingly to the user needs we install the new applications and upgrading versions of the old ones. From the near past we have these new modules:

• OpenMPI 1.6.4 compiled with all three main compilers and with the infiniband support
• MPICH 3.0.2 compiled with all the three main compilers
• Phycas 1.2.0 - application for carrying out phylogenetic analyses
• CP2K - program to perform atomistic and molecular simulations of solid state, liquid, molecular, and biological systems
• WRF 3.4.1 - next-generation mesoscale numerical weather prediction system serving operational forecasting and atmospheric research needs
• Freesurfer 5.1.0 - set of automated tools for reconstruction of the brain’s cortical surface from structural MRI data
• Bowtie a Bowtie2 - ultrafast, memory-efficient short and long read aligner of genome
