Operational news of the MetaCentrum & CERIT-SC infrastructures: nodes with Debian 7 + new SW applications

Starting with this month, we'll try to periodically inform you about the most important operational news (including, e.g., new SW applications) performed on the MetaCentrum & CERIT-SC infrastructures every month.


Most important operational news:
1. Testing nodes with the Debian 7 OS ready for production

  • let us inform you, that the testing set of nodes equipped with the Debian 7 OS, which you may use for testing your applications
  • the nodes will be available from tommorow (today, a BIOS upgrade is being performed) -- use the "debian7" property to ask for them
  • if you experience any problems, please, report them as soon as possible...

2. Newly purchased/installed SW applications: (since this is the first news report, let us inform you about the new softwares in the last 5 month period)

    • a suite of tools allowing the structural and thermodynamic simulations
