New HW in MetaCentrum

I'm glad to announce you the MetaCentrum's computing capacity was extended with a new clusters (owners ZCU and CEITEC MU).

• vSMP cluster (ScaleMP) alfrid.meta.zcu.cz -- 16 nodes, 256 CPUs, configuration of each node:
  • CPU: 32x 8-core Intel Xeon E5-2650v2 2.60GHz
  • RAM: 4 TB
  • disk: 24x 10k 600GB, propojené přes SAS do masternodu
  • owner: NTIS ZČU
  • net: ethernet 10 Gb/s, infiniband 2x40 Gb/s
  • notice: ScaleMP

The cluster alfrid can be accessed via the conventional job submission through Torque batch system (arien.ics.muni.cz server) in a scalemp queue. For access ask meta@cesnet.cz with honzas@ntis.zcu.cz in Cc.

• HD cluster lex.ncbr.muni.cz -- 25 nodes, 400 CPUs, configuration of each node:
  • CPU: 2x 8-core Intel Xeon E5-2630v3 2.40GHz
  • RAM: 128 GB
  • disk: 2x 1TB 10k SATA III
  • owner: CEITEC MU / NCBR    
  • net: Ethernet 1Gb/s, Infiniband QDR
  • notice: Performance of each node is 556 points in bechmark SPECfp2006 base rate.  

The cluster lex can be accessed via the conventional job submission through Torque batch system (arien.ics.muni.cz server) in preemptible and backfill queues. Users from CEITEC MU and NCBR have privilleged access.

• GPU cluster zubat.ncbr.muni.cz -- 8 nodes, 128 CPUs, configuration of each node:
  • CPU: 2x 8-core Intel Xeon E5-2630v3 2.40GHz
  • RAM: 128 GB
  • disk: 2x 1TB 10k SATA III, 2x 480GB SSD
  • owner: CEITEC MU / NCBR    
  • net: Ethernet 1Gb/s, Infiniband QDR
  • notice: 2x nVidia Tesla K20Xm 6GB (aka Kepler). Performance of each node is 556 points in bechmark SPECfp2006 base rate.  

• HD cluster krux.ncbr.muni.cz (384 CPU) -- 6 nodes, 384 CPUs,  configuration of each node:
  • CPU: 4x 16-core AMD Opteron 6376 2.3GHz
  • RAM: 256 GB
  • disk: 2x 1TB 10k SATA III
  • owner: CEITEC MU / NCBR    
  • net: Ethernet 1Gb/s, Infiniband QDR
  • notice: Performance of each node is 726 points in bechmark SPECfp2006 base rate.

The clusters zubat and krux can be accessed via the conventional job submission through Torque batch system (arien.ics.muni.cz server) via queues with maximum walltime time of 1 day. Users from CEITEC MU and NCBR have privilleged access.
