CERIT-SC PBS Pro environment extension

Dear users,

The SGI UV2 machine urga1.cerit-sc.cz has been moved from Torqure scheduling system (@wagap) to PBS Pro (@wagap-pro) environment. Both UV2 machines can be accessed through the uv@wagap-pro.cerit-sc.cz queue. 

In future, we plan to replace whole current old Torque scheduling system with new PBS Professional.

Using the CERIT-SC experimental PBS Pro environment @wagap-pro

• PBS Pro server: wagap-pro.cerit-sc.cz (server is not directly accessible)
  
• Frontend: zuphux.cerit-sc.cz, after login on the frontend switch Torque to PBSPro by the command:

$module add pbspro-client  ... set PBSPro environment
$module rm pbspro-client   ... return Torque environment

• Queues: uv@wagap-pro.cerit-sc.cz, phi@wagap-pro.cerit-sc.cz (in future there will be more queues)

• Home (NFS): storage-brno3-cerit.metacentrum.cz (/storage/brno3-cerit/home/)
• qsub syntax (Request for job with 12 processors on 1 chunk (node), 20 GB of RAM, 20 GB of scratch, 1 hour walltime):

  • qsub -q uv -l select=1:ncpus=48:mem=20gb:scratch_local=20gb -l walltime=1:00:00 skript.sh
