MetaCentrum High-Performance Computing Seminar at the CESNET 2026 Conference (30. 9. -1. 10. 2026)
The CESNET 2026 Conference will take place on September 30 and October 1, 2026, at the Diplomat Hotel in Prague, with its second day dedicated to the full-day MetaCentrum High-Performance Computing Seminar 2026. The event will introduce the scientific community to current trends and tools within the national e-infrastructure for distributed computing, data management and processing, and the deployment of AI models.
The conference will be held in Czech.
The seminar is organized by MetaCentrum (CESNET and CERIT-SC) in collaboration with CESNET Data Storage.

The methodology of scientific computing is rapidly evolving. In addition to traditional HPC, researchers are increasingly dealing with large-scale dataset processing, the deployment of large language models (LLMs), cloud solutions, Kubernetes, and AI-accelerated application development. This year's seminar brings these key areas together to offer a comprehensive overview along with practical approaches directly applicable to everyday research.
Two-Day Conference Format
- Day One (September 30, 10:00–17:00) features a joint program covering cross-cutting topics from CESNET — ranging from high-speed networks, multimedia, and identity management to cybersecurity and distributed computing.
- Day Two (October 1, 9:00–17:00) is organized into multiple parallel tracks:
- MetaCentrum Seminar + Data Storage (presentation of services by CESNET and CERIT-SC)
- Cybersecurity
- Research + Multimedia and more
