Dear Users,
Due to exceptionally high temperatures in the Brno area, we will be implementing a precautionary performance throttling of the e-INFRA CZ G2 OpenStack cloud [https://brno.openstack.cloud.e-infra.cz/] to reduce the amount of waste heat generated by the servers and thereby relieve the cooling system of the data center where the servers are located.
The restriction will be implemented by setting the frequency of all CPU cores used to run virtual machines to their minimum supported value. On average, this represents a reduction to approximately 40% of the maximum frequency.
This will result in reduced computing performance and response times for all user instances.
The restriction will be in effect from Friday, June 26, 2026, in the afternoon until Monday, June 29, 2026, in the morning. We will keep you informed of any changes.
