Zpřístupnění clusteru centra CERIT-SC

Availability of CERIT-SC cluster

Besides wishing Merry Christmas, I'm glad to announce one promise to be
fulfilled. The CERIT-SC Centre makes its first computational cluster
available to the users.

There are 8 nodes in the cluster, each having 80 CPU cores in shared memory.
Details on the hardware can be found at http://www.cerit-sc.cz/cs/Hardware/.

User accounts of all Metacentrum users were created automatically,
there is no need to request them explicitly. However, the cluster
is controlled by a distinct Torque batch system server. Specific steps
required to run a job, information on mounted disk space, etc. can be found
at http://www.cerit-sc.cz/cs/docs/.

The CERIT-SC Centre is an experimental infrastructure to a large extent,
not only a rigid environment for routine computations. Therefore proposals
on non-standard, interesting usage of these resources are more than welcome.
