New GPU clusetr and storage in MetaCentrum

I'm glad to announce you the MetaCentrum computing capacity was extended with 2 new clusters and a disk array

• GPU cluster doom.metacentrum.cz -- 30 nodes (480 CPUs), configuration of each node:
  • CPU: 2x 8-core Intel Xeon E5 (2.6 - 3.4 GHz)
  • RAM: 64GB
  • disk: 2x 1TB 10k SATA III, 2x480GB SSD
  • shared scratch: /scratch.shared (22 TB)
  • GPU: 2x nVidia Tesla K20 5GB (Kepler)
  • location: Ostrava     
  • network: Ethernet 1Gb/s
  • owner: CESNET

The cluster can be accessed via the conventional job submission through Torque batch system (arien.ics.muni.cz server). During the testing period the cluster will be available in the "debian7" queue (also for GPU jobs).

• SGI UV20 cluster kalpa.fzu.cz -- 2 nodes (48 CPUs), configuration of each node:
  • CPU: 4x 6-core Intel Xeon E5-4617 2.9GHz
  • RAM: 256GB
  • disk: 2x 300 GB SAS disk v RAID 1
  • location: Praha
  • network: Mellanox QDR, dual port
  • owner: FZU ASCR

The cluster can be accessed via the conventional job submission through Torque batch system (arien.ics.muni.cz server). During the testing period the cluster will be available in the "debian7" and "luna" queues.

• The new disk array /storage/ostrava1 ( 88 TB) is available for all MetaCentrum users and can be accessed from all MetaCentrum machines.
