Invitation to the Grid computing workshop 2014 -- Matlab & infrastructure news

Dear MetaCentrum user,

we would like to invite you to the Grid computing workshop 2014, which will take place on December, 2nd 2014 (10am-5pm) in Praha, Masarykova Dormitory CVUT, Thakurova 1.

The registration to the workshop, which will however be held in Czech language only, is available at http://metavo.metacentrum.cz/metareg/

The aim of the workshop is to introduce the services offered to the Czech research community by the MetaCentrum and CERIT-SC computing infrastructures, including related actual/planned news (new scheduling system, planned computing resources, infrastructure news and tips, etc.). Participation in the workshop is free of charge.

This year, the gold workshop partner is the Humusoft company, which is -- among others -- the Czech supplier of the MATLAB computing environment. Thus, during the morning section, a presentation about the Matlab's application to various research fields as well as parallel/distributed/GPU computing possibilities will be given by Humusoft experts. The possibilites of running Matlab computations on MetaCentrum/CERIT-SC infrastructures will be also presented. See more information at workshop pages.
